Hello from Vestmannaeyjar (The Westman Islands)

Hi dear friends!  (or maybe just Drea?)

I am in an island now.  Yes, live on an island but this is a small island that is a part of my country.  We are reaching out to the children and youth here in this place and working with the pendicostal church here.  We have been out to play sports with kids on the streets and invited them in to the church for games and to watch Eurovision song festival.  We will stay here till next Saturday and then we go back to Reykjavik.

Today I have not done mutch... I have a day off and noone else does...  They gave me (made me take, hehe) an extra day of cause I have been so tired and not been able to give really a 100 % lately.  So I am at the library hanging all day.  And been out walking around the town.  And I slept really long!

I have desided now that I am going to Holland in June:)  I will go with the team back to Heidebeek (the YWAM base) and have debriefing there.  Hopefully I see Andrea and go shoping and stuff also.  I have heard that things are cheap in Holland:)  Hope I'll have some money to spend, hehe.

I also desided to stay in Iceland this winter.  I had some other dreams for a while but I felt God challange me to stay here for now.  If that is His will for me then I know that that is the best choice.  I am just not shure yet what I'll do here.  Hope He tells me soon:)

God is still sooo good.  I had an amazing word yesterday from a group of people I have nenver met and it was so right on!  Amazing that He speaks to us like that!  They talked about the stuff I am thinking of and about the mountains that are surrounding me in this island and stuff.  Really nice.  And they are in Ruanda!  No where close.  Totally awesome God:)

May He bless you all.  Remember you can comment with username: gestur and password: gestur if you don't hve xanga!!

Olleh!

woh era uoy lla?

God is good and faithfull.  I am doing really good here in Iceland, it's really good to be home and I puting the focus back on my own people.  Being in full time minestry is also a dream come true for me and living in a missionary house were every one has the same aim, to change the nation for Jesus!!

It was a litle hard in the begining to find many activeties for each day but now it's becoming easier and we have made many contacts and doors are opening.  We have been going different places and wisiting churches, a school, TV, and been on the streets these last weeks.  It is over all going very well and the team really works well togeather.

Yesterday it was my dad's bithday and there was a big birthday party with like 100 people.  The whole team was there to help out and serve the guests.  The students also had a drama piece that they showed, called choices.  It really shows the whole gospel in a very clear way and afterwards one of the students explained and gave her testemony.  It was really cool.  My parents wanted to share the gospel with the family and this was such a cool way to do it:)  I can also ad taht the preminister was there (he is married into my dad's family) and heard the gospel as well.  Something they had prayed that they would get a chance to do in Iceland!:)  Praise Him!

Next weekend the school leaders are coming for a week visit.  That's gonna be so cool:)  I met them a year ago when they were here and it was a great time.  They also have a litle baby:) (I love babies)  We will do some fun stuff with them and minestry work togeather as a team.

God bless you all, thanks for visiting my page and please come back!  If you dont have or want a xanga you can leave a comment by using the username: gestur and pasword:gestur also.

Happy easter

It's been a while...  I always meen to update but then I don't.  Oh well, it's been very busy.

Things have really changed since my last entry.  I don't have a job and I have changed my direction for next year.  Oooo yes.  The Dutch DTS team I mentioned in last entry...  I am one of two leaders for theire team now.  They have a ten week outreach here in Iceland and I was asked to co-lead the team.  First I said no, that I wouldn't do it, cause it just didn't make sence in my head, but after my mom challenged me to pray about it, I felt that God wanted me on that team.  They came here a week ago, one week after I came back from Norway.  So I worked for that week and now we have been togeather attending and serving in a conferance in my church (easter conferance like the YouthStormers came to last year).  It was a good conferance, it helped me alot to set my focus back on Iceland and remind myself of the word that has been spoken over my life.  He also started a new work in me and maybe for a larger groop through me.  Friday night it got really intence and I have never gotten into this kind of intersession, it was deep.

My new outreach team is awesome.  They are really joyfull, on fire and so passionet about Iceland. We pray alot and I am exited to see where God will lead us and what He wants to do through this team.  There are quite many doors already open and I trully belive there will be more.  Because we desire to impact this nation and so does God!

I try and write soon again, I am at home now with my family and we're going to eat the easter beef!  Love you guys, God bless!!
